Treating Allergies Naturally

What is an allergy?  In simple terms it is simply an overreaction of the immune system to certain substances that are `foreign` to us. These foreign substances are typically called `allergens`, they can be found in just about anything ranging from foods to pollen, drugs and even dust. Allergies are for the most part something that we acquire as we go through life; some people are more susceptible to certain allergens than others.  Treating allergies naturally, is a great way to start diminishing your seasonal symptoms, drug free.

treating-allergies-natuallyThe cause of allergies can be by a number of factors, and in some people allergies take an extreme toll on their lives. Genetics are always a factor when it comes to our health, but that is not the only factor that can account for certain sensitivities. Genes only represent our `potential` predisposition to react to certain allergens. Lifestyle and diet are also major factors that determine whether we are going to experience certain problems or not. The truth is, and this is true across the board that no illness or any major health problem is caused by a single factor, almost all physiological disorders are multi-factorial. Even the way we think affects our entire body chemistry and how resilient we are to diseases.

The conventional allergy treatment is most commonly directed at blocking the immune system from overreacting to allergens, and in more severe cases we would seek to suppress the immune systems function almost entirely with drugs like steroids, which would be applied topically and/or systemically.
While this approach can provide temporary symptomatic relief, it does little to address the underlying cause of allergies! As it is with the typical medical model, as patients become dependant on medications, they can suffer from numerous side effects, and more importantly, the drugs can make the situation worse over time because they will have a negative impact on body chemistry.

How do you treat allergies?  The answer is quite simple... all you need to do is to follow the most basic guidelines of cleansing the entire body, eating nutritiously and living in harmony with nature`s laws, because if you do that can have a significant effect on your allergy treatment.

A healthy liver, in particular helps us to process these foreign substances (allergens and other waste) and make them "user-friendly", if the liver is clogged up, the `system` will become backed up with waste and it will be unable to be eliminated from the body.  The circulatory system of the liver is unlike that seen in any other organ. This is of great importance because of the fact that most of the liver`s blood supply is venous blood (blood returning to the heart ladened with waste)

There is a tremendous amount of blood that gets pumped back to the heart from the extremities; if it gets backed up for any reason it creates some of the problems below:
" All of the venous blood returning from the small intestine, stomach, pancreas and spleen converges into the portal vein.
" Because of this the liver is the first organ to process everything absorbed by the small intestine, which, as we will see, is where virtually all nutrients are absorbed.
" If you`ve developed allergies, you most likely have liver and gall bladder malfunction.
" Poor liver and gallbladder function (due to stone formation in the gallbladder) can be an important cofactor in the appearance of candidiasis (candida overgrowth/infection), this type of fungal overgrowth/infection is the main cofactor in leaky gut and celiac`s disease.

A body cleans can greatly t educe these problems.  The type of illnesses that may develop during your life depends on a number of different factors including, but not limited to the types of vaccines, medications, trauma and toxins you have been exposed to, if your body is over acidic due to diet, stress, toxins, lack of exercise, poor food choices, the environment you live in etc. Other factors include, the level of liver damage caused by the exposure to toxins and medications, the types of parasites, viruses, yeast or bacteria that may live inside you, your total nutritional imbalance, your genetic makeup, your blood type, your ability to handle different toxins, your psychological and mental strength and your age and gender.

A very important component that somewhat fits into the food category in helping to maintain health is, water. The types of food you eat are very important, and in most cases is first on the list of peoples things to look at when dealing with allergies, both to add and eliminate. But when you think about it, and since our bodies are made up of between 70 and 80% water the kind of water you drink to maintain health is a major factor. All biological processes such as circulation, digestion, absorption and excretion depend on water. It forms the foundation of blood and lymph, the volume of it maintains hearty muscles and keeps your skin looking young, it assists in joint lubrication and helps to regulate body temperature...you can`t function without it. It would be a mistake to assume that clean water is only obtained by Reverse Osmosis or Distillation, because this water is over 100 times more acidic than your typical tap water. Treated water also lacks the essential alkalizing minerals such as calcium which helps to maintain your bones and magnesium for your heart.

As you grow older, it becomes more important to pay attention to your water consumption. As we advance in age we hold less cellular water, by as much as 10 to 15 percent compared to our previous youthful capacity. Because water is so important for digestion, a lack of fluid in your body might make it more difficult for us to digest food properly; a decrease in systemic fluids can cause you to suffer from cramps, bloating, gas, constipation, diverticulitis and other gastrointestinal issues.

Drinking plenty of healthy water can help prevent many of the so called `age related diseases`. It is pretty much a standard today for everyone to drink at least eight to ten glasses of pure healthy water each day. The ideal form of this intake would be water that is ionized, primarily because the water is more quickly absorbed and is alkalized. Beyond helping your digestive system, getting enough fluids will help to keep your skin fresh and young looking, it will help you keep your eyes clear and hair shining. To help maintain weight you can try consuming several glasses of alkaline water before diving into a snack to see if that takes care of your craving. By helping to make your body more alkaline your system (blood) will be better able to restore balance and reduce negative reactions.

Cleansing the body:
Body cleansing is an extremely important part of helping to prevent and treat allergies. Dietary changes are the beginning of the process and are basic forms of the cleansing process. But most people need more then this, especially when it comes to liver health and gastrointestinal fitness. Our internal organs can hold quite a bit when it comes to toxic waste, and sometimes even after doing a body cleanse it is impossible to get rid of all the toxins. Over time you may have developed what are known as intrahepatic stones. These stones have been known to block bile flow, and will affect your health and your digestion overall. Another problem many people have, are parasites.  You must learn as much as you can about parasites because they are overlooked by many people as a health issue.

It is recommended that adults follow the cleansing procedures listed below:
1. Bowel cleanse with and emphasis on parasite removal
2. Dental cleanup (remove the mercury fillings)
3. Perform kidney cleanse
4. Do a liver cleanse

" Physical activity will help expedite the cleansing process; it helps to maintain balance and relieves stress. The best forms of exercise include the following: Mini Trampoline jumping - rebounding, walking or jogging on a forest trail in the mountains or by the water, weightlifting, tai chi, yoga, martial arts, dancing, aerobics, gymnastics and swimming.

It is best not to overdo it and exhausting yourself, please do not exercise on a full stomach…NOTE: gentle walking is ok especially if you are overweight.

Any form of sweating is a powerful way to cleanse your body from accumulated toxins. Great ways of doing this include taking a sauna, aerobic exercise which may include riding a bicycle running or even fast walking. The single most important factor when it comes to a body cleanse is that you need to drink plenty of pure ionized, alkalized water. Water is the key to life; we have the technology now…it is just a matter of incorporating it into your daily routines to ensure a better quality of life.
